Holiday Pictures is pleased to announce that the feature film “Eve & the Fire Horse” had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2005. It has been selected for the Atlantic Film Festival, upcoming Vancouver International Film Festival and more. Produced by Holiday’s Shan Tam and starring Vivian Wu (“Last Emperor”, “Joy Luck Club”) and Lester Chan (“Eat, Drink, Man, Woman”) the film was picked as one of the top 40 must-see films at TIFF by Globe and Mail. Holiday principal Michael Parker has recently produced the feature “Paper Moon Affair” for Fairchild Films International. Featuring Japanese star Misa Shimizu (“The Eel”), Brendan Fletcher, Sebastian Spence, Phil Granger and John Lone (“The Last Emperor”) the film had its world premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival where it was selected for competition in the First Features of the World section. Shan Tam will be on a panel for the 20th Annual VIFF Film & Television Trade Forum Special Focus: Producing For the Asian Market. This panel will explore the vast potential the region represents for makers of film and television. The session is to be held at the Vancouver International Film Centre on Friday, September 30 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

Shan Tam is currently line-producing the action unit for Brightlight Pictures’ “Dungeon Seige” Action Choreographer Tony Siu-Tung Ching was the creative force behind such acclaimed films as “Hero” and “House of Flying Daggers.” The film’s main cast include Jason Statham (“Transporter”), John Rhys-Davies (“Lord of the Ring”), Ron Perlman (“Hell Boy”) and Burt Reynolds. The documentary “Hong Kong Express” featuring Christy Chung will be screening at the upcoming San Diego Asian Film Festival on October 2nd.

Both “Call it Karma” and “Hong Kong Express” received nominations for Best Documentary in their respective categories in the recent Leo Awards

Producers Shan Tam, Michael Parker and writer/director Karin Lee were the proud recipients of the inaugural Channel M Diversity in Culture Award for their upcoming documentary Our Family Pictures.

Floored By Love

Groundbreaking queer family comedy "Floored By Love" makes world premiere at the 17th New York Lesbian & Gay Film Festival June 11, west coast premiere at 29th Frameline San Francisco Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, June 23 and LA premiere at OUTFEST, July 10.

Lunch With Charles will be broadcast on Bravo! on Feb 2 at 9pm.

The documentary "Call It Karma" has won the Best Adventure Film in the Whistler International Film Festival. Vision TV will broadcast it on April 5, 2005 at 10pm. The official Call It Karma web site has been launched at callitkarmathemovie.com.

The title “Miss Representation” is changed to “Hong Kong Express- the fast track to fame and fortune”. It will be broadcast on OMNI TV on Feb 5 at 7 pm and again on Feb 7 at 11 am.

Eve and the Fire Horse has just completed post production. The official web site will be launched in the near future on eveandthefirehorse.com

Floored by Love, a one hour drama for CHUM TV, is now completed. Anticipated broadcast date is in the fall, 2005.
