| Holiday Pictures independent production house Holiday Pictures Ltd. is an independent production company based in Canada. Its forte is its strong connection to the Asian film communities while also establishing strategic alliances with a variety of international producers and distributors. Holiday’s cultural initiatives include consulting and programming work for several film festivals. In 1999, Holiday initiated the "Canadian Film Showcase in China" with the support of Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Consulate in Shanghai. Representatives of Holiday Pictures have been panelists on forums at festivals and markets in Vancouver, Toronto, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, England and the US. Holiday currently has several feature films and documentaries in active development with various broadcasters, agencies and co-producers. Holiday maintains excellent relations with government funding agencies, broadcasters and distributors throughout Canada and Hong Kong. Past projects include the documentary Hong Kong Immigrants in Vancouver for NHK Japan, the docu-drama Chief Plays Basketball for Taiwan's Rock TV and the first ever Canada Hong Kong feature co-production Young Offenders. |
