Holiday Pictures Ltd. is an independent production company based in Canada. Its forte is its strong connection to the Asian film communities while also establishing strategic alliances with a variety of international producers and distributors.

Holiday’s cultural initiatives include consulting and programming work for several film festivals. In 1999, Holiday initiated the "Canadian Film Showcase in China" with the support of Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Consulate in Shanghai.

Representatives of Holiday Pictures have been panelists on forums at festivals and markets in Vancouver, Toronto, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, England and the US.

Holiday currently has several feature films and documentaries in active development with various broadcasters, agencies and co-producers.

Holiday maintains excellent relations with government funding agencies, broadcasters and distributors throughout Canada and Hong Kong.

Past projects include the documentary Hong Kong Immigrants in Vancouver for NHK Japan, the docu-drama Chief Plays Basketball for Taiwan's Rock TV and the first ever Canada Hong Kong feature co-production Young Offenders.

EVE & THE FIREHORSE WINS JURY PRIZE AT SUNDANCE
Eve & the Fire Horse won the Special Jury Prize for World Drama at the Sundance Film Festival! The jurors include Thomas Vinterberg (Dear Wendy, Celebration), Lu Chuan and Irene Bignardi. The film received audience and critical accolades, including a rave review from Roger Ebert, who called it "luminous" and "one of the most beloved films at Sundance this year".

DOUBLE-BILL DVD RELEASE
Eve & the Fire Horse and Paper Moon Affair will both be released in Canada on DVD June 13th by Mongrel Media through an exclusive deal with Blockbuster Canada. The films are both featured in the prestigious Festival Collection.

E&F WINS BIG AT THE 2006 LEO AWARDS!
Eve & the Fire Horse has won five Leos at the 2006 Leo Awards celebrating excellence in British Columbia Film and Television. Nominated for eight Leos, the film picked up feature length film awards for Best Direction, Best Screenwriting, Best Picture Editing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Production Design. The film also received nominations for Best Lead Performance for Phoebe Kut, Best Supporting Performance for Hollie Lo and Best Picture.

Eve & the Fire Horse won a special jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival and will have it’s European premiere at Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.
